As I'm sure the majority of you know, especially if you follow me on Twitter (where I wouldn't shut up about it), I went to the Olympic Games in London on Wednesday. I was lucky enough to win tickets with Coca-Cola and the day went off without a hitch apart from one thing; sorting the spending money. Of course, we wanted to buy some mementos from the Games and were unable to do so without the money and as no one seemed to know what was going on, a Coca Cola rep took it upon herself to help us out with mementos. I cannot describe how helpful she was and although the situation still isn't completely sorted, I feel everyone should know how much Maxine from the Beatbox on the Olympic Park is a credit to the company. Lovely lady.
I had to take pictures from Steve & Laura as I inadvertently decided to give my camera an impromptu bath on the train into London. Luckily, they saved me the day and provided me with plenty of pictures to show you. I went to see the women's water polo (Hungary v China and Italy v Russia) and although I didn't fully understand the game, I had a fantastic time.
On the blog this week, I persuaded some of you to linkup with my Like, Love, Loathe linkup, I showed you the products I'd finished up in the month of July and reviewed some Purity Organic Skincare treats for you. Regular features appeared such as A Picture Tells A Thousand Words with Tanya appearing and also Friday Letters.
I showed you some gorgeous Charms & Chains jewellery which you went wild over, updated you on Jack's progress after eight months and launched my 500 follower giveaway!
For the week ahead, look out for the Like, Love, Loathe linkup, all regular features, a Revlon primer review, some gorgeous treats from Cyber Candy and whether multivitamins actually work for me.
What have you been up to this past week?
So jealous that you went to the Olympics, I bet the atmosphere was amazing! x
ReplyDeleteIt was fantastic!xo
DeleteWow lovely pics! Hope you enjoyed it. Weirdest thing, I was selling programmes LITERALLY right next to where you took that last picture in the first set from (on the bbc bridge, next to the Gloriana) I was probably about a metre (if that!) behind you! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fab day xxx
Wow, small world! How strange xo
DeleteI bet it was so good getting it see something at the Olympics.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing xo
DeleteWow sounds like you have been really busy. Another winning by Becky lol. You should enter a competition - winners of the winners lol. The winner is the winner who can win the most, and they will then win the competition for the winners :)) ..O.o if that made any sense.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having fun. Take care! xxx
(P.S. Something that occurred to me is that by putting loads of pictures up online on your blog, anybody can just use them. So it might be an idea to think about putting a watermark on them 'Futures' or your copyright. It will take quite a while but it will definitely be worth it.
If anyone can use your pictures it doesn't look as professional, not that it is a criticism but it might help other people become interested in Futures if you see what I mean ;) Also be careful if you take pictures of Jack, I would definitely suggest putting a watermark on those. Keep on blogging!)
Thanks Ems xo
DeleteI got over excited when I went to an olympic event in my hometown this week, I can't imagine what I would have been like if I actually got to the olympic village. Looks fabulous from your images.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) It was great xo
DeleteJEALOUS! If there's one thing I'm sad about being in the Carib this year, it's missing out on all the Brit pride and Olympic hype that's going on :( x
