A Picture Tells A Thousand Words [20]

Today's special guest is the lovely Tanya from Glitter On Glitter.I have followed Tanya's blog avidly since she began and have recently started talking to her quite regularly. She is a lovely girl and a fancy dress fanatic - having a fancy dress bash? She'll certainly be there!

I never went to university as I knew I'd be one of those people who just spend all their loan on drinking and would fail so I decided instead to do a diploma online. I didn't want to miss out on the excitement of Freshers week though so I took the week off work and travelled to the Cornwall campus of Exeter uni to visit my friend Liane to crash her Freshers Week. This photo reminds me of the days when I decided what I wanted to do with my life, starting my diploma, and of those care free happy days where I could just up and disappear for a week before everyone got serious. As bad as it is, it reminds of when I could go out partying numerous times a week, drink and eat what I wanted and never get any bigger. It was taken at porn night and of course shows off my love for fancy dress, this was one of my first fancy dress outfits and I was absolutely gutted when it got too small for me and I had to get rid of it, not that it hasn't been replaced by many others :) I love the way the photograph looks with the light bouncing of off the outfit, this photo sparked a small love of photography inside me which over time has only gotten bigger. At the point in my life when this photo was taken there was no drama, I knew I wanted from life and I was happy. Even though it is about 4 years old it's still my go to photo when I want a change on Facebook or if I need a profile photo for a website, it's even the one I use for my blog. And I can still remember every little detail about that night, it was amazing and will always stay with me!

How gorgeous does Tanya look? It's lovely to reminisce of back when we were all carefree and had no commitments, isn't it? It's nice that Tanya has such a fab photo to remind her of when she was deciding which direction she wanted her life to go.
