Bex On Books: January Reads

I promised that every month I'd drop in with what I've been reading over the past month...so here is my roundup for January.

All links go to their respective Goodreads pages.

Full review here
Fab novel but a feeble ending - will definitely pick up the next in the series but left feeling a little underwhelmed towards the end.

I LOVED THIS. So much so that I read it in just a couple of hours. A full review will be up soon in my guest reviewer capacity over at My Keeper Shelf.

The second in the series and not as groundbreaking as the first, however the ending was pretty impressive.. Full review to come in guest reviewer capacity.

Another review book for Lesley at My Keeper Shelf which will be up soon. A different take on vampires and quite a fresh idea. Although I quite liked it, it didn't stand out as much as I thought it would.

An old favourite and a re-read. Still impresses me, no matter how many times I read it.

Okay, I'm still reading this, if I'm being honest. This is the first book in the Hanging On Every Word book club (find previous discussions here - we'd love for you to join in!) Quite impressed so far and I am liking the slow pace we are taking with it, as it means I get to read it more carefully and really understand every word.

What have you been reading recently?

  1. Ill need to have a wee lookyloo over at MKS for these reviews! I've just started Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides (author of the Virgin Suicides) - pretty good so far! Xo

  2. I'm waiting to get The Farm from the library as it definitely sounded interesting and worth checking out. At the moment I'm just finishing up Miranda Hart's 'Is It Just Me?' which I've enjoyed x
