MUA Haul: Reviews & Swatches

The other week, I noticed that the lovely Liloo had tweeted about a fantastic MUA offer for reaching a certain number of likes on Facebook. Although money is a little tight right now, I felt I deserved a treat and bought a few things for myself and a few things for my 500 follower giveaway (items not shown here).

So what did I get?

MUA Going For Gold palette (£4, at £3 right now) - link

I had been wanting the Going For Gold palette for quite a while after seeing it on various other blogs. When the special offer came up, I couldn't resist adding it to my basket - and I'm super impressed. For the price, I don't expect the world but these eyeshadows are pretty impressive for the affordable price. Although most of the colours are best suited to a night time look, I have found myself reaching for the palette on more than one occasion for my daytime look, using the silver colours for a fresh look.

The Lip Boom I will admit was an impulse purchase. Having seen an array of reviews differing wildly in opinion, I knew it was a gamble. I don't think its too bad, I love the lipstick & the look the two give together but I'm not mad over the large chunks of glitter within the gloss.

I continue to buy MUA lipsticks for the simple reason that they are cheap and cheerful and they get the job done. They may not have the wear time of a MAC lipstick, but for the bargain price of £1, can you really complain?

What are your thoughts on MUA? Have you tried any of their products recently?

  1. I've been really tempted by the Heaven and Earth palette recently, but I have a Naked Palette from Urban Decay so I don't really need it - I'd just really like it!! Makes no sense really given that I don't even wear makeup every day!!

    Love that lipstick in Juicy!

  2. I love MUA products so much, their a daily use for me. I love the Glitter ball palette but the lipsticks are my favorite, for a £1 you can't really go wrong and I always reapply mine anyway when out. The Going for Gold palette looks gorgeous too, I may have to get one myself!
